A Sunday Well Spent Brings a Week of Content

Weekends don’t really exist for most students since we’re usually helping the people who do get weekends enjoy them in shops, restaurants, bars or wherever else they may be. So when that special day comes and you finally get a Sunday off, you really have to make the most of it.

Don’t set any alarms

Stay cosied up in your bed for as long as your body wants too, don’t wake up unnecessarily, treat yourself. I actually swear by trying to have at least one night where I fall asleep when I’m actually tired and wake up naturally because I think it resets your body and sorts you out for the rest of the week. There’s probably some science in it, but I’m a fashion student, not a scientist.

Have brunch

Enjoy one of the finer things in life, brunch. Either make yourself a fancy oat bowl, or spend some of your hard earned money on an Instagram worthy poached egg and smashed avocado on toast.

Have a Sunday Roast Dinner

After indulging in brunch, get yourself a roast. It’s the simple things in life, promise. If you don’t have the privilege of living with a family who will happily cook this for you, you can either DIY or there’s tonnes of places in and around Manchester that do a good roast every Sunday.

Get clean

Take a nice, long bath (or shower), shave your legs, moisturise, put on a face mask and prep yourself for Monday morning. Tip: do this before getting in fresh pj’s and bed sheets for added pleasure.

I usually save either my Glossybox or Birchbox for a Sunday, I love using all the new products I get to give myself a proper pamper.

Prepare for Monday

Make sure you’re ready for the dreaded Monday morning by packing your bag, picking your outfit and doing anything else that could save you stress in the morning. You’ll feel loads better going to sleep knowing you’ve sorted everything, and who knows, you might even be able to sneak an extra five minutes in bed in the morning.
